Performance Company
Master Ambition is a unique and powerful performance company known for its passionate and excellent performances. This “audition only” company is comprised of students’ grades K through college who are committed to refining their skills in the arts while using their gifts and talents to proclaim a positive message of hope with integrity.
Master Ambition Performance Company has performed with Landau Eugene Murphy, winner of America’s Got Talent, at the Clay Center for the Friends of the West Virginia Division of Culture & History Fashion Show and Fundraiser to raise money for children in the arts, Marshall University Gala, with Appalachian Children’s Chorus, at the West Virginia Dance Festival and at a variety of other media, fundraising, community events, church services, and have been featured multiple times on DayStar Television Network.
Participants of the company attend a variety of master classes to continue to refine their skills in technique including West Virginia Dance Festival, Jackson’s Mill Fall Dance Festival, Ballet Boot Camp with Jerry Rose, and participate in summer intensives and private lessons from master teachers offered at Arts in Action.
Current participants of Master Ambition are regional champions in dance and voice, with soloists and groups reigning as Overall Champions. Many of the company dancers have been awarded scholarships to the Joffrey Ballet School and the Joffrey Ballet Residency Program in New York City, attendance to Joffrey Ballet in Florence, Italy, and Tampa, Florida, and to Las Vegas for Joffrey Cirque du Soleil.
Company-member, Megan James, received a full scholarship to ArtÉmotion Summer Ballet Intensive with Ballet West and a partial scholarship to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Company members have been awarded scholarships to and have trained with American Ballet Theater, New York, Corey Ballet School, and more.
